Me and Jim Solomon conducted our first fly fishing the surf series at the Fisherman’s Spot this past Saturday and Sunday. We had six very enthusiastic anglers ready to soak up some salty knowledge and hopefully continuing their passion for fly fishing the surf. This form of fly fishing is one of the hardest to perfect but with the proper basics and a little practice is very rewarding and is easily accessible to those living near our blue pacific shores. Me and Jim agree, it is always great sharing knowledge and seeing an angler land their first surf fish on the fly. Hope to see some new faces when we do our next Surf Zone!
