Hiratsuka’s Common Carp Japanese angler Koichi Hiratsuka caught and released this 102 cm common carp (Cyprinus carpio) on May 17th while fishing Lake Biwa, Japan. Hiratsuka needed only 10 minutes to subdue the big carp after it ate the boilie bait he was using. If approved, the catch will replace the existing All-Tackle Length world record which currently stands at 100 cm.
